DIL KI DAUD – 2 MINI MARATHON ON WORLD HEART DAY
Ludhiana, 2014. To motivate the citizens of Ludhiana for health heart and maintain a healthy life style SPS Apollo Hospital in association with Wave Mall Ludhiana, Coca Cola, Bonn Bread, NS Seeds, Hotel Hyatt, Hotel Fortune, Billion Hearts Beating Foundation creamica on World Heart Day has culminated an Mini Marathon namely Dil Ki Daud-2. The marathon organized at Guru Nanak Stadium and over 2500 people including the professional athletes, senior citizens, general public, corporate houses, participated in marathon across the region namely Jammy, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Faridkot, Illahbad, Rohtak, Kotakpura, Sirsa, Patiala, etc.
More than 100 doctors with family took part in this initiative and ran in the marathon. All participants appreciated the effort of spreading the awareness thought such CSR activation, they also got message/tips to keep the heart health and shown interest to participate again next year.
There were 5 categories for participation in the 5 KMS run for men and women in age group of 18-40 years and above and above 40 years. All runners were felicitated with participation certificates and prizes and medals. The race was flagged off by Mr. Pargat Singh, Director Sports, Punjab.
As per SPS Apollo Hospital Ludhiana MD Mr. Jugdiep Singh’ We received the overwhelming response and support from the residents and corporate houses at Ludhiana alike Wave Group, Coke and all others.’
With over 2500 people participating in this mini marathon, Dil ki Daud-2 was a success in raising the awareness among people. The marathon intended to motivate individuals to take necessary action towards a healthy heart.
